Craniosacral Therapy Appointments for Babies-Feb. in Oakland
The Bay Area CranioSacral Children's Collective invites you to participate in the second Sunday of the month Infant CranioSacral Free Clinic. Precrawlers and their parents are encouraged to RSVP for an appointment.
If you have been curious about what CranioSacral is and how it can help your baby, this is a no risk opportunity to get to know the work, therapists in our community and meet with other parents with babies.
CranioSacral is a gentle hands on healing modality that is guided by the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid, the liquid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. Just like blood, it circulates continuously and can be sensed as a pulsation in well trained hands. Where the body has limited motion, the pulsation is lessened and gives us a map to where to work. Therapists encourage mobility, circulation and nerve conduction with very light touch to help fine tune your baby's perfect little body.
Some babies come into the world with big stories that need to be listened to. We allow them to share these with us, give them permission to express and unfold, creating a greater sense of well being. Many parents seek out CranioSacral Therapy for breastfeeding, sleep, and developmental issues, traumatic births, colic or digestive concerns, torticollis, or cranial malformation. Many families find that babies that receive the work sleep better, breastfeed and digest more efficiently, and can be generally happier.
Date: February 12
Times: Appointments at 10am, 11am, and noon, by RSVP.
Location: Grand Lake area in Oakland
RSVP for appointments to Holly Edson RN CST

Power to the Children- An Art Project
This is a project from artist, Yayoi Kusama, that was installed at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art in December 2011. The rooms began with everything in the room white. Over the course of 2 weeks she gave children colored stickers and invited them to place them anywhere in the rooms. The progression was stunning.
